Newport Beach Trip March 14-21

One of our activities while on the CA coast was to go Whale Watching on a boat out of Dana Pt. Harbor.
We saw whales, dolphins, and sea lions. You know how I knew it was a sea lion? I could see it, and I'm not lying, therefore it must have been a sea lion!
I was surprised at the number of Gray Whales we saw. At least 4. We got within 50 yards. Gray whales migrate from the Sea of Cortez (Mexico) to Alaska. The whales we saw where headed north for the summer. I'll have to say hello to them when I'm fishing in Alaska this July!

Hey Jack!!
I was checking Gretchen's newest pictures of Gretta and saw you had a blog. Good for you. I liked reading your political commentary, you should think of making it a part time career. Tell Carolyn thanks for the card, I had a great birthday, but it is only my 48th, not quite 50 yet!! I hope you all have a good day. We miss you and are glad to have this connection.
Love,
